Explain the importance, if any, for health psychologists to consider gender when they engage in activities such as research, health promotion, prevention or treatment of illness, promotion of public health policies, and improvements in the health care system.

Over the next several centuries, Hippocrates’s theory was replaced by more modern medical theories. Describe Hippocrates’s theory and explain possible contemporary psychological concepts or theories based on Hippocrates’s original theory.

The biopsychosocial perspective suggests that a person’s health is influenced by biological, psychological, and social factors and that these dimensions both affect and are affected by each other. Explain how you would apply the biopsychosocial perspective to a person with a drug addiction. Describe examples from each of the three dimensions that might contribute toward the addiction.
