assessment 3 improving interprofessional collaboration 1

Assessment Instructions

In Assessment 3, you will build on the work you completed in Assessments 1 and 2.

Preparation

For this assessment, you will continue in your role as external health care efficiency consultant to your care coordination unit or organization. Note: If you chose the hypothetical practice setting as the basis for your work in Assessment 1, continue to use that setting for this assessment.

Administrators are aware of the critical importance of interprofessional collaboration to the provision of safe, high-quality coordinated care. Also, as a leader in practice, you must understand how well the organization is doing in this regard. Consequently, you have been asked to extend the work you have completed previously in your program evaluation and gap analysis by examining this aspect of professional practice in the organization and preparing a presentation of your findings and recommendations to stakeholders.

Note: Remember that you can submit all, or a portion, of your draft presentation to Smarthinking for feedback before you submit the final version for this assessment. However, be mindful of the turnaround time of 24–48 hours for receiving feedback, if you plan on using this free service.

Presentation Tools

You may use Microsoft PowerPoint or another suitable presentation software to create your slides. If you elect to use an application other than PowerPoint, check with faculty to avoid potential file compatibility issues.

Use the speaker’s notes section of each slide to develop your talking points and cite your sources, as appropriate. If you need help designing your presentation, you are encouraged to review the various presentation resources provided for this assessment. These resources will help you to design an effective presentation, whether you choose to use PowerPoint or other presentation design software.

You have the option of either recording a voiceover track for your presentation or creating a video. In either case, you may use Kaltura Media, Adobe Connect, or other technology of your choice for your audio or video recording.

  • If using Kaltura Media, refer to the Using Kaltura tutorial for directions on recording and uploading your video in the courseroom.
  • If using Adobe Connect, refer to the instructions and tutorials available from the Using Adobe Connect support page.

Note: If you require the use of assistive technology or alternative communication methods to participate in this activity, please contact Disability Services to request accommodations.
